March 1 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm
One event on Mar 1, 2018 at 8:30am
Want to learn how to help your work unit become more economically, environmentally, and socially responsible? Join us at our interactive training, “Making the Workplace More Sustainable.”
Participants will learn about sustainability goals and initiatives at UNC, including Chancellor Folt’s new Three Zeros Initiative to move towards water neutrality, zero waste, and greenhouse gas neutrality, become “green events” certified, and gain familiarity with a Workplace Sustainability Assessment tool designed for Carolina. The assessment tool helps people identify, measure, and promote UNC-specific opportunities related to sustainable purchasing; energy; transportation; water; waste reduction, recycling and reuse; food and events; and health and wellness.
This two-day training will be held on Tuesday, February 27, and Thursday, March 1, from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm, at the Administrative Office Building on Airport Drive.
Register through Connect Carolina, https://connectcarolina.unc.edu/, and select the Self Service > Training Enrollment option. Search by “Workplace Sustainability 1.”
