January Design Jam-Reducing plastic consumption at UNC
January 19 @ 7:00 pm - January 20 @ 6:30 pmFree
Passionate about environmental sustainability? Interested in solving real world problems? Join us for our design jam to try out a true design sprint! Inspired by the artistic work of Robin Frohardt about plastics, we will be coming up with a solution to plastic waste on campus.
On January 19-20 (Friday from 7pm-8:30pm and Saturday from 10am-6:30pm), Design for America will be hosting its January Design Jam. It is a public event in which we will be practicing the design think process. The topic for this event is how can we reduce plastic consumption at UNC Chapel Hill. This is a great opportunity for students, faculty, and community members to join us and actively participate in generating solutions on how to combat plastic waste on campus. We hope to see some of you there!
Design for America is a club that utilizes the design think process to generate solutions to community problems. We use team collaboration and project modeling to produce objects or programs that are impactful and feasible in real life applications. We later partner with other organizations to implement what we believe are our best solutions.
