Embracing Simple Practices to Promote Community and Environmental Sustainability

As part of the Social Justice Action Series put forward by the UNC School of Social Work, Meredith Powers will lecture on Environmental Justice, focusing on community and environmental sustainability. Come learn about ecological justice, environmental racism, climate change, and strategies to engage in radical community organizing to facility the transition to a clean, healthy, and just society. Key to the discussion will be issues most immediately threatening North Carolina and what concerned citizens can do to get involved.

 

No registration required. Buffet lunch to be provided by Vimala’s CurryBlossom Cafe.
