APPLES – The APPLES Service-Learning Program sponsors courses that connect academic coursework with community service.  See all APPLES courses.

Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative – Launched in 2004, the Carolina Entrepreneurial Initiative supports courses and programs designed to spread entrepreneurship across campus. Recently the CEI partnered with the Campus Y to begin the Social Justice Entrepreneurship Incubator, which provides UNC students with seed funding, mentoring, faculty consultations and learning circles for social action enterprises.  See all CEI courses.

First Year Seminars – The First Year Seminar Program offers freshmen the chance to participate in small seminar-style classes taught by the University’s most distinguished researchers and skilled teachers. See all First Year Seminars.

Honors Program – The undergraduate Honors Program offers more than 120 courses each year, drawn from more than 30 areas of study. While Honors Program students have priority in course registration, any UNC student can take Honors courses. See all Honors courses.

Institute for the Environment – The Institute for the Environment offers undergraduate degrees in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, and Environmental Public Health, and a Sustainability Minor.  See all Institute for the Environment courses

College of Arts and Sciences – A broad range of departments within the College of Arts and Sciences offer courses either related to or directly focued on issues of sustainability.  Search for sustainability courses or see all courses at the Registrar’s Office.

Friday Center for Continuing Studies – The Friday Center for Continuing Studies offers flexible opportunities for part-time students to earn college credit. The center offers online courses, self-paced courses, part-time classroom courses, and courses for inmates in North Carolina prisons.  See all Continuing Studies courses.

Kenan-Flagler Business School – Housed in the Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Center for Sustainable Enterprise (CSE) focuses on tackling ecological integrity and social equity in the business world.  The CSE also runs the Knowledge Bank, a free, searchable database of scholarly research on sustainability topics by UNC authors.  See all CSE courses.

School of LawThe University of North Carolina School of Law offers several environmental law courses.  See all School of Law courses.

School of Public Health – Carolina is home to the top School of Public Health at a public institution in the country, and offers distinguished programs in environmental sciences and engineering, global health, and water quality.  See all School of Public Health courses.

Office for Undergraduate Research (OUR) – OUR offers a variety of resources
for undergraduates to engage in research and mentored scholarship at UNC.
